Meet The Team Dedicated to Empowering Women

ILYSA RAPHAEL

National Director of PWI

“I started at Power in January 2008 and started similar to most of our new hires in CD. Only thing is it wasn’t called CD then and the whole business looked a bit different. I spent my first years at Power a part of what is now our CD department and grew to be the first woman named as VP of Marketing. I then transitioned to be our first full time interviewer, but the part of my career and experience at power that I’ve been the most passionate about and found my true purpose is the Women’s initiative. I’ve been lucky to be around since its inception and was honored to become the first full time leader of PWI in January of 2022. I know Power is a destination for women where they can find lifelong career opportunities, financial independence and a community of women and Mallies that they truly connect with. I believe that before we know we will show the world the construction industry is not just for men when we have women taking up space not just in our employee headcount but in equal representation of all levels of leadership.”

ASHLEY GUY

PWI Specialist

I was born and raised in the city of Chester, PA, home of HQ, under the guardianship of my grandmother who was no stranger to the concept of using her voice. A concept that would later benefit me in all that I do, in and outside of Power. I started Power in 2012 as a scheduling agent not knowing what to expect from a home remodeling company and where my time at Power would even lead me. Twelve years and seven title changes later I’m more clear than ever on the importance and value of this initiative. I relocated to open our Dallas office back in 2016 accompanied by my at the time 7yr old daughter. Though the decision to relocate was made prior to my involvement with PWI, I’d be remised if I didn’t mention this initiative has made sure my story is heard, my presence is valued and my contribution to encouraging women to live beyond their comfort zones is acknowledged. Advocating for women to succeed in all spaces is in direct alignment with my purpose and passion, I know I’m making my grandmother proud. Power is a special place that has taken me on quite the journey. I am committed and find deep joy into introducing this business that happened to sit in the backyards of so many women and men of color within the city of Chester to provide and even better journey them as well.

BAILEY WILSON

Training and Curriculum Development Manager

I was raised in the Appalachian mountains by a strong matriarchal family. I have always surrounded myself with strong women, which is why the PWI community was such an immediate draw to me when I started at Power in 2017. I had the majority of my career as a Sales Mentor and fell in love with leadership. In 2023 I welcomed the love of my life into the world, my daughter, Avett. Later that year I transitioned into a new role, both to myself and the company, as a Training and Curriculum Development Manager. I am so thrilled to serve this community and to continue to make Power the best place to work for both men and women. So, here’s to strong women: may we know them, may we raise them and may we be them.

PAULA BECKERT

CAREER INTERVIEWER

In 2015 I came to Power with a husband, a baby and zero home remodeling experience. Life experience…sure, but this was a new world for me. I knew I wanted growth, but I also wanted to see what else I was capable of. My forte has always been people and Power is “people first”. I began my journey in Business Affairs and over time transitioned into Talent Acquisition as a Career Interviewer for the company. I also had the proud honor of being one of the founding committee members for the Power Women’s Initiative. Bringing people into Power is something I take great pride in, especially if those people are more women. Power has allowed me to grow myself and my family. I can only show my gratitude by continuing to grow theirs.

A Message From the Team

“We aim to empower women to proudly showcase their successes and talents. We aim to help grow a culture that is supportive, hungry for growth, and dedicated to breaking barriers and boundaries. Our focus is on fostering financial independence, celebrating female traits as powerful attributes rather than downfalls, and promoting networking, leadership, and development opportunities. Join us in embracing these values as we create a thriving community where every woman can flourish.”
